Economics is the study of the ways society chooses to use its scarce resources to attain alternative and often conflicting goals. The Bachelor of Economics emphasizes the study of mathematics and quantitative techniques along with Economics. The course of study requires a more intensive background in math and statistics, reflecting the quantitative character of modern Economics. This program provides preparation for employment in technical and scientific areas and is appropriate for graduate studies in Economics and related fields such as statistics, mathematics and finance. International Economic major is concerned with the global Economic issues of today. The programs prepare students for careers in business, government, and Multinational corporations and for graduate study in Economics, law, business, and public policy or administration.
